Emma Dean Hilliard, 74, died today, Good Friday, March 30, 2018. She was a loving and devoted wife and the light of her life was her two sons and her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She was gifted with artistic talent, a green thumb and the patience of a quilter. She made and donated many quilts to unwed mothers' shelters, Habitat of Humanity and flood victims in Honduras.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Frances Byers; her brother, Fred Byers; grandparents, William and Sara Chadwick and Annie Edwards.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Henry Hilliard; sons, Mitch (Regina) Moore and Adam (Beth) Moore; grandchildren, Connor, Kayden and Kayci Moore; step-grandchildren, Joshua, Sara and Gracie Hilliard; sister, Nancy (Ron) Neugard; brothers, James Byers and Richard (Barbara) Byers; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Crider officiating. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
