Joe Towns

Joseph Allen Towns, 85, of Rising Fawn, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Towns; great-grandson Wyatt Mooneyham; parents, Dee and Evelyn Towns; sister Mary Privitt; and brother Howard Towns.

He is survived by his daughter, Loretta (Jerry) Floyd, Rising Fawn; sons, Carleton Towns, Rising Fawn, and Jeff (Kathy) Towns, Trenton; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Maggie Black, Ruby Green and Audrey Gibbs; brothers Frank Towns, David Towns and Roger Towns; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 27, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Mark Finlayson officiating. Interment will be in Prince Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday 4-8 p.m. EDT and Sunday 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
