Phillip Dale Guffey, 57, of Trenton, was born July 23, 1960, and died at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga on Tuesday, July 11, 2018, surrounded by family, due to complications of leukemia.
Mr. Guffey was a graduate of Northwest Georgia High School, class of ’78. He was retired from International Wire Group of Trenton, where he had been a lead quality auditor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Mae Dean Guffey, and a special cousin, Bobby Guffey.
Surviving include his son Bo (Jessica) Guffey; brothers Wayne (Sandra) Guffey, Jackie (Pat) Guffey, Timmy (Paula) Guffey and Lamar (Myra) Guffey; sisters Debbie (Keith) Randles, and Beverly (Randy) Scott; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, in the chapel with Bro. Wayne Guffey and Bro. Edwin Spurgeon officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, Ga.
