John Cooper


John Wayne Cooper, 60, of Bryant, Ala., died today, Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. John was a member of Glendale Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsay and Mary Cooper, and three sisters, Carolyn Quarles, Linda Sue Cuzzort and Cynthia Dawn Harris.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Karen Cooper; sons, Nicholas Wayne (Dixie) Cooper and John Adam Cooper, all of Bryant; grandchildren Kelsey, Bailey, Jonathan, Christopher, and John O. Cooper; step-grandchildren McKenzie and Madison Chapman; sister Vickie Lynn (Randy) Ridgeway of Illinois; brothers James Richard (Donna) Cooper, Flat Rock, Ala.; David (June) Cooper, Byrds Chapel; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. EDT Thursday, Aug. 9, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Winters and Brother Ira Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 p.m. EDT and Thursday 10 a.m.-1 p.m. EDT.
