Aubrey "Bob" Dylan Reel

Aubrey “Bob” Dylan Reel, 10, joined her Gigi at the feet of Jesus on September 24, 2018.

A barefoot girl doing cartwheels across the ballfield. That’s Bob in a nutshell. The boys at school admitted, “She was the only girl that could beat us at everything!” She never did anything halfway. She was not a quitter. She was a joy to be around, even when she was being stubborn. When asked to make a list of “things I need to give up to be closer to Jesus” her answers showed that she knew that Jesus was more valuable than any relationship here on earth. And this incredible athlete knew her true hope and joy was not on the basketball court but in being close to her Savior.

She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Tom and Nelie Ibach and Willie and Susie Chandler.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Leana Reel and sister, Abbie as well as grandfather, Paul Ibach, Aunt Luanne (Daniel) Leavengood, Uncle Joshua Ibach, Aunt Fran Phillips, Aunt Jamie (Mardoqueo) Lopez; cousins Ashton, Gracie, Josiah, Diego, Megan, Blaine, Selena, Jessica, Patrick, Ethan, Sam, Sydney, Joseph, Noah, Chancelor and Chatham and several great aunts and uncles.

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” Psalms 34:3

Visitation will be held at Lookout Valley Baptist Church from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. at Lookout Valley Baptist Church with interment to follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West.
