Ruth Mathews

Ruth Imogene Mathews, 82, of New Salem, died at her home Friday, Sept. 28, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mathews Sr.; parents, Ralph and Ruby Gravitt Lusk; brothers, Robert, Royce, Rayburn and Raliegh; and sister, Roberta Tinker.

She is survived by her children, Reta Massey, Rusty (Charlsie), Roxanne (Larry) Kilgore, Renae (Lee) Powell, Regina, Ralph Jr., Randall, Ronda Higdon, Ritchie

(Renee) and Rosalie (Joe) Baldwin; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Hawkins Cemetery with Brother Gene Strauss officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday 5-8 p.m.
