Cecil Foster Sr.


Cecil Delbert Foster Sr. of Trenton died at his home today, Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. He was a steel worker, a member of United Steel Workers and an Eagle Scout. He was an avid Alabama football fan and fisherman. His greatest pride was his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otho and Gertrude Foster; youngest son, Daniel R. Foster; granddaughter, Samantha Jo Foster; brother, James Foster; sisters Ann Foster Street, Gladys Foster Geier, Martha Francis and Shelby Jean Foster.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Foster; daughter, Lucinda (Mike) Foster McDonough; sons Cecil Delbert (Cindy) Foster Jr. and David L. (Angie) Foster; sister Margaret Foster (Mike) McMahan; six grandchildren, Christopher McDonough, Jr., Victoria Foster, Jamie Foster, Ryan McDonough, Garrett Foster and Emily Foster; great-grandson, J.T. Foster; several nieces and nephews and many friends. A special thanks to niece Virginia Woodall.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Trenton Baptist Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-3:30 p.m.
