Wayne Boyd Ballard, 82, of Fairburn, Ga., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. He was born and raised on Sand Mountain in Trenton. He owned and operated Ballard Furniture Store in Atlanta and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paris and Millie Ballard, and brothers, Kenneth Ballard and Mark Ballard.
Survivors include his loving family: wife of 62 years, Betty Ballard; daughters, Kim (Phillip) West and Janice (Mike) O’Neal; sister, Kathryn Gilley; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Dewayne Moon and Brother Luke Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
