Franky Dale Bethune, 58, of Bryant, Ala., died on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in a local hospital. He was a treasured son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. Those who knew him were blessed and will hold that blessing close forever.
Franky was born Jan. 4, 1960, in Wildwood. He graduated from Bass Memorial Academy in 1978 and the following year joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served with honor and pride. He was a member of Floral Crest Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bryant. He successfully ran Bethune’s Garden Center for several years. He loved raising dogs, had a beautiful garden and was a passionate Republican.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Beth Gass and Orbie and Ruby Bethune. Franky is survived by his parents, Davis and Bernice Bethune; brothers, Tim and Jeff (Carla) Bethune; nieces, Heather Stevenson, Kyla Jolly and Haley Bethune; nephew, Zane Bethune; and many friends.
Services will be at 3 p.m. EST Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with his good friend Steve Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday 1-2:30 p.m.
