Amos Lawson


Amos Newton Lawson, 80, of Trenton, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018. He was a heavy equipment operator for over 55 years and a member of Church of Christ in Saint Elmo, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Bell Lawson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sara Lawson; daughters, Terrie (Robert) Higdon, Rising Fawn; sons, Dewayne (Kim) Lawson, Trenton, and Jeffery (Rhonda) Lawson, Chattanooga; sister, Dorothy (Billy) Higdon, Higdon, Ala.; brother, Clifford Lawson, Trenton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Sunday, Nov. 18, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother C.G. Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
