Joe Edward McCown, 81, of Wildwood, died at his home, Friday, Nov. 16, 2018. He had worked at Wheland Foundry and was a member of American Legion Post 106. He was a member and deacon at Open Door Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Dell McCown, and two brothers, Gary and Raymond McCown.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy McCown; son, Joe E. McCown II, Columbia South Carolina; sister, Lorri McCown; brothers, James McCown, Ricky McCown and Tim McCown; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery with Brother Ron Moreland officiating.
Visitation was Saturday 6-8 p.m.
