Rev. Dr. Luke Summers

The Reverend Dr. Luke Reginal Summers, 90, of Bryant, Ala., died at his home on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018. He was a Church of God bishop and a member of Mountain View Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years, Lois Anderson Summers; parents, George and Edith Summers; sister, Jean Reesor; and brother, Mark Summers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Sandra Summers; sons, Jocelyn Summers, Wayne Summers and Timothy Summers; adopted daughters, Cassie Gilbert and Lisa Smith; five grandchildren, Cindi Schwartz, Edward Summers, Jennifer Seepersad, Wayne Luke Summers and Sara Summers; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 24, at Mountain View Church of God with Brother Brad Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday 4-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, Bryant, and Saturday noon-2 p.m. at Mountain View Church of God.
