Ruth Higdon

Ruth Gennette Farr Higdon, 82, of Bryant, Ala., died of natural causes on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Orby Lee Higdon; parents, Leonard and Lilly Farr; and sister, Mary Ann Eaker.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Debra Lee Miles Spangler and Karen Ann Hicks; son-in-laws, Kevin Hicks and Gary Spangler ; sister, Dorothy Hadad; brother, Leonard Farr; five grandchildren, Misty Hicks, Sonya Hicks, Reid Miles, Ashley Miles and Nathan Miles; and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. EST Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Higdon Cemetery with Reverend Bradley Bridges officiating.
