Glenda Scott



Glenda “G.G.” Estes Scott, 81, of Dade County, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Mrs. Scott and her late husband, Ken Scott, were the longtime owners of Dade Auto Parts, and she also operated B&G Jiffway in Wildwood for many years. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Sand Mountain United Methodist Church.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Hannon and Eula Estes; sister, Melva Long; and brother, J.H. Estes.

Surviving include her loving children, Roxie (Frank) Thompson of Trenton and Kendra Scott-Black of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Kenny Thompson, Jennifer (Ravi) Black-Patel, Tyler (Allison) Thompson, Aubrey (Stacy) Black II and Cody (Kenda) Black; five great-grandchildren. Ruby Jane and Tessa Thompson, Remy Black, Hayden and Elana Black; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, in the chapel with Bro. Aaron Wooten, Dr. Brad Scott and Rev. Reece Fauscett officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday at Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton, Ga.
