Joyce Iola Williams, 79, of Bryant, Ala., died Friday, February 1, 2019. She was a homemaker. She had lived in the Philippines over 20 years and loved to travel. She was an avid reader, a gardener and a wonderful cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ida Oliver; husband, Frederick Williams; her infant daughter and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Laiacona, Huntsville, Alabama; sons, Archie Williams of Chattanooga, Frederick Williams of Nashville, Tennessee, and Robert Williams, also of Nashville; sisters Mary Wirchball of Chickamauga, and Pat (Mike) Hardinger of Bryant; brothers Gary (Susan) Oliver of Bryant, John (Faye) Oliver of Chattanooga and Dewey (Lynn) Oliver of Chickamauga; grandchildren, Andreos Chunaco and Krystal Chunaco-Carden (Greg) of Okinawa, Japan, and Riza (Antioch) Williams.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Monday, February 4, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Darren Rogers officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday noon-2 p.m.
