Lettie Ruth Spurgin, 82, of Higdon, Ala., died Friday, March 19, 2019. Lettie was a teacher at Mountain View Christian Academy and a member of Mountain View Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Minnie Coulter; daughter, Avis Lynn; two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Spurgin; daughter, Rita (Randy) Evans; sons, Marvin (Diane) Spurgin, Bruce (Geraldine) Spurgin, Roger (Rhonda) Spurgin and Jimmy (Tina) Spurgin; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Mountain View Church of God with Rev. Brad Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, and from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at Moore Funeral Home, Bryant chapel.
