Geneva Geurin


​​Geneva Lavonne Geurin, 85, of Lookout Valley, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Geurin was born on January 28, 1934, in Stevenson County, Alabama, to the late William Bryan Smith and Beatrice Hambley Smith. She was a graduate of Central High School, was employed as a licensed practical nurse for many years and was an active member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Floyd Odell Geurin, and brothers, Vernon T. Smith, Gene Henry Smith and William Bryan Smith Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Betsy Geurin and Shawn and Helen Geurin; grandchildren, Craig, Zachary, Amy and Lindsey; brother-in-law, Tommy Shipley, and sister-in-law, Kay Lane; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West with Pastor Tommy Messer officiating. The family will receive friends for food and fellowship at Wauhatchie United Methodist Church following the service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
