Joseph Allen Britt, 84, of Trenton, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
He was born on July 21, 1934, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, the son of Berry and Ruby Britt. Mr. Britt was married to the late Doris Joan Groschwitz on July 9, 1955, and she preceded him in death on May 4, 2011. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958 and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Britt enjoyed old westerns, golf, woodworking and his grand- and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by son Douglas Britt, daughter Linda Owens, brother, sisters and parents.
Mr. Britt will be missed by his daughters Yvonne (Mike) Gothard, Norma (Bill) Ramey and Beverly Guess; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, in the funeral home chapel.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, Ga.
