Viva Ovine Bradford, 94, of Rising Fawn, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church and was married to her loving husband for 69 years. They enjoyed being members of the Northwest Georgia Fox Hunters Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvine Bradford; parents, Ray and Georgia Hixson, and sister Rena Mae Anderson.
Survivors include her loving children and their spouses, Adena and Bob Ferrante, Shirley and Philip Cagle, Cathy and Roger Castleberry, Milton and Margaret Bradford, Wesley and Sharon Bradford and Ernie and Barbara Bradford, all of Rising Fawn; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Hartman and Clara Elizabeth Wilson of Dunlap, Tenn.; brother Sam Hixson, Dunlap; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 5, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Curtis and Pastor Jodi Ihfe officiating. Interment will follow in Hawkins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday 4-8 p.m. EDT and Sunday 1-3 p.m.
