Barbara Ann Hicks, 74, of Trenton, died Friday morning, May 24, 2019, at her residence. She was a graduate of Davis High School, class of 1962. Mrs. Hicks was a devoted homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Lee Chappelear; brothers Gary and Byron Chappelear; and sisters Pat Cagle and Freda Higdon.
Surviving include her husband, Terry M. Hicks Sr. of Trenton; mother, Pauline Chappelear; daughter Charlotte Lankster of Bryant, Ala.; son Terry M. (Becky) Hicks Jr., also of Bryant; brother James (Betty) Chappelear of Chickamauga; brother Frank (Helen) Chappelear of Trenton; grandchildren Curtis Lankster, Justin Hicks, Hope Gilbreath, Lacosta Evans and Katlin Palmour; great-grandchildren Josslyn Lankster, Dalton Eli Hicks and Jaxyn Lankster; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, in the chapel with Rev. James Dobson and Pastor Randy Tinker officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, Ga.
