Richard "Deadeye" Hamilton

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Dade County lost a longtime friend. Richard Hamilton, known to most as “Deadeye,” succumbed to illness and went to Glory in the company of his best friend, Ed King.

For those who knew Deadeye, he was a man of few words but of incredible generosity of spirit. He was humble, never wanting to take credit for the many contributions he made to the New Salem community over the years. He served proudly in the U.S, Air Force and was a graduate of the University of Southern Florida. For a quarter of a century, Richard worked for Coca-Cola.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth, and father, Sanford.

Per his wishes, friends and family will carry his ashes to Elkhorn Rapids, on the Salmon River, at a time to be later announced.

In lieu of flowers, please remember him fondly through donations to the New Salem Fire Department that he cared for so deeply.

Please share expressions of sympathy at ryanfuneralhome.net.

Arrangements are by Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, Ga.
