Betty Jean Palmer


Betty Jean Palmer of Rising Fawn died Thursday, June 13, 2019. She was retired from Trenton Spinning Mill and was a member of Avans Church of God. She was a devoted, caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Frances Stephens Cloud; brothers Bud, Roy and Everette Cloud; and sisters Arlivia Culpepper and Josephine Bryers.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Palmer and Cathy (Jimmy) Baugh; son, Eugene Palmer; sisters Della (Millard) Williams, Faye (Wanda) Baxter, Donna (John) Foote, Connie (Randy) Atkins and Rose (Skip) Pittman; sister-in-law Sue Cloud; brothers Wesley Cloud and Ron Cloud; one granddaughter, Amanda (Jason) Drew; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Terry Avans officiating. Burial will be held in Gibdock Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
