Sherry Elaine Holland-Bates, 71, of Trenton, died today, Monday, August 5, 2019. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of Canaanland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Nelson Holland and Cliff Bates; parents, Russell and Mable Wooten; sister Norma Jean Wooten; and brothers Stevie and Hubert Wooten.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Price of Trenton and Marquetta Walker of Flat Rock, Ala.; son, Bradley Holland of Flat Rock; stepdaughter, Shirley Angulo, Texas; stepson Johnny Holland of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Shana (Vincent) Perkins of Rising Fawn, Heather (Jeff) Nelson of Rising Fawn, Zachery (Kim) Radetski of LaFayette, Nelson (Sarah) Holland of Scottsboro, Ala., and Sherman Mathews of Brookfield, Ill.; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Geneva Wooten, Elsie Rooney and Diane Wooten; brother Lee (Donna) Wooten; nieces, nephew, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. EDT Wednesday, August 7, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Darren Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Gap Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. EDT.
