Franklin Delano Bedwell, 78, of Trenton, died on Saturday, September 7, 2019. He enjoyed collecting hats, watching the Braves and being retired. He was a member of Circle of Faith Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Grace Bedwell; parents, William and Dorothy Bedwell; son, Larry Newman; and daughter, Roberta Newman Kirk.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela (Ronnie) O’Shields of Fort Oglethorpe, Regina (Jim) Blalock of Gastonia, N.C., Margie (Glenn) Kay of Chickamauga, Esther (Leamon) McKinney of Birmingham, Ala., and Robin (Steve) Patton of Trenton; son, James (Ginze) Newman of Harrison, Tenn.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday September 10, in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Howell and Jackie Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Hooker Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, Ga.
