Tim Mahan


Timothy “Tim” Rex Mahan, 56, of Trenton, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2019, in a local hospice facility.

Tim was raised in the Cole City area and was a butcher at Food Lion in Trenton for a number of years. He attended Davis School and New Home Baptist Church and was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. Tim would give the shirt off his back to make sure others would not do without.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Junior Mahan Sr. and Alice Ruth Morgan Mahan; brothers, Billy Junior Mahan Jr., Dwight George “Ike” Conkle Sr. and William “Larry” Conkle Sr.

Survivors include his brothers, Perry Richard Conkle Sr, (Marilyn) of Trenton, Robert Lee Conkle of Trenton, Michael Anthony Mahan Sr., of Trenton, and Duane Mahan Sr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Helen (Dennis) Straughn of Trenton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, in the Ryan Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert Goff officiating. Interment will follow in Conkle Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday from noon until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, Ga.
