Nancy Harp


Nancy Harp, 72, of Rossville, died Monday, December 16, 2019. Nancy was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, to the late Robert A. and Betty D. (Babb) Hickey of Rainsville, Alabama. She resided in the Walker County, Georgia, area for more than 50 years and was a 1965 graduate of Rossville High School.

She was employed with Rossville Mills/Chromatex for over 30 years until its closing in 2002. She also worked for Steven M. Henry Construction, LLC.

She was preceded in death by Jamie Pope, niece; Tammie Hickey, sister-in-law; and David Scealf, nephew.

Survivors include her son, Russell Stephen (Debbie) Harp; his father, Russell Larry Harp; grandson Stephen Harp; sister Carla (Adrian) Hageman of East Ridge, Tenn.; brother Ronald Hickey of Chickamauga; nieces Candace (Eddie) Hamrick, Ellie (James) Woody and Shawnee Shook; nephews Michael (Patty) Griffith, Eric (Shannon) Hageman, Chris (Lindsey) Hageman, Doug Scealf, Darrel Scealf, Bill Scealf, Gary Kinsey, and Jack Harp; two grand-nieces, Nisa Handy and Alycia Gibson; seven grand-nephews, AJ Bond, Alex and Ryan Griffith, Stephen Gibson, Aiden, Zachary and Ian Hageman; best friends Sherron and Dickie Crabtree of Bryant, Ala.; and special friend Robert Wooten.

The family will celebrate her life at a later date with Pastor Jason Thomas officiating.
