Elwanda Mashburn

Elwanda Black Mashburn, 88, of Bryant, Ala., died Friday, January 3, 2020. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was of the Holiness faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mashburn; parents, Walter and Roda Black; several brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Doyce) Holman of Flat Rock; sons, Lamar (Teresa) Mashburn of Rossville and Dennis Mashburn of Bryant; five grandchildren, Kevin Holman, Brian Holman, James Mashburn, Christy Morrison and Courtney Fields; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Jean Nix, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 6, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Wayne Winters officiating. Interment will be held in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. EST.
