Maureen "Granny" Street

Maureen Imogene “Granny” Street, 92, of Rising Fawn, died at her residence on Thursday, March 5, 2020. She and her husband had owned and operated Deer Park Restaurant in Rising Fawn. She was of the Baptist faith and had also been employed at Gross Furniture and Glass Farm Nursery.

Granny was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Street, parents, James Alexander and Virginia Whited Morgan, and siblings, Cicero, Russell, James (Johnny), Roy, Donald, Douglas, David and Pauline Morgan Bailey.

Survivors include her son, Sam (Karen) Street of Rising Fawn; grandsons, Joey, Cody and Ryan Street; granddaughters, Kim Street and Karen (Russell) Wright; great-grandchildren, Whitley Street, Morgan Street, Paige Hill, Kelley Floyd, Brooke Wright, Jarrod Martin and Jaden Street; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be a 1 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
