Ronald “Ronnie” W. Powell, 65, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He had worked for Kraft Wrigley Mars for 40 years. Ronnie graduated from Dade County High School and married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Castleberry, on June 30, 1974. He adored their grandchildren; they were his life.
In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, he is survived by his daughter, Kristy (Clint) McDaniel of Chickamauga; son, Wes Powell, Trenton; grandchildren, Luke Powell, Flat Rock; Kaci McDaniel, Chickamauga; Weslynn Powell, Las Vegas; sister Mary Ann (Paul) Pierce, Lookout Mountain; brother Terry (Phyllis) Powell, Trenton; special great-nieces Taylor Williams and Sarah Williams, Flintstone; and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Jody Powell; sisters Louise Sampson and Linda Crabtree; and half-brothers Frank Powell and Tommy Powell. Due to the current health regulations, the immediate family will have a private graveside service at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with Brother David Tate officiating.
