Denver Charlotte Finlayson, 85, of Valley Head, Ala., died Sunday, June 7, 2020. She was a member of the Holiness faith for 63 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bryant Finlayson; grandson, Arleigh Finlayson; parents, Kenneth and Lorene Headrick; sister Betty Jean Hayes; and brother Hilton Headrick.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Sandy (Bill) Sanford, Micah (Glenn) Kerby, Mark (Debbie) Finlayson, Kenny Finlayson, Jari (Rick) Hughes, Scott (Amy) Finlayson, Rod (Fiona) Finlayson, Carma (Wayne) Johnson and Jason (Marquita) Finlayson; 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Itsel Headrick, Denton (JoAnn) Headrick and Kensel (Laura) Headrick; four sisters, Hattie Ball, Annettea (Gene) Cox, Sherri (Dicky) Parks and Jerri (Tommy) Caylor; nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. EDT Wednesday, June 10, in the Trenton chapel with Brother Bobby House and Brother Doug Nance officiating. Burial will follow in the Finlayson family cemetery, Valley Head.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 9, 4-8 p.m. EDT and Wednesday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT.
