Mary Ellen Merrill, 80, of Trenton, died Wednesday June 10, 2020. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son Rodney Lee Cloud; parents, Horace and Dora Whitaker; brothers James “Pee Wee” Whitaker, John Whitaker, and Timmy Whitaker.
Survivors include her children Connie (Gary) Mathews, Kim Fairris, and Michael Cloud, all of Trenton; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Conway, Minnie Ott and Geraldine Whitaker; brothers Paul (Becky) Whitaker and Gene (Sue) Whitaker; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday June 13, at the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Laymond Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. EDT Friday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. ETD Saturday.
